HC Deb 19 April 1937 vol 322 cc1423-4
46. Mr. T. Henderson

asked the Minister of Labour whether he has anything further to report regarding the action of the management of the Union Bank of Scotland in intimidating or attempting to intimidate the members of their staff in their allegiance to the Scottish Bankers' Association; and whether he is now in a position to announce that he will institute an inquiry?

The Minister of Labour (Mr. Ernest Brown)

I am in communication with the Secretary to the Scottish Bankers' Association on the subject of the telegram to which I referred in my reply to the hon. Member for Linlithgow (Mr. Mathers) on Thursday last. In the meantime I have nothing to add to that reply.
