Mr. Emeryasked the Minister of Labour whether he has considered the representations which have been made to him by the building trades employers for the introduction of a scheme to insure workers in the building trades against loss of employment owing to bad weather; and, if so, what action he proposes to take in the matter?

At their request some suggestions, which I hope will be of use to the Council in framing a scheme, have been supplied to them by the Department.
