HC Deb 16 November 1936 vol 317 c1313
16. Mr. JOEL

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he is aware that according to Marketing Leaflet No. 62, which contains a roll of retailers who regularly stock National Mark produce, the entry under Birmingham and district only shows one stores, one tradesman, and two co-operative societies; and what is the reason for this small number of Birmingham retailers which are shown on the roll?

Mr. W. S. MORRISON

The leaflet to which my hon. Friend refers does not purport to be a complete record of all the retail distributors who stock National Mark commodities. The list it embodies is confined mainly to retailers of groceries and provisions, and contains only the names of retailers who have asked to be included therein and have undertaken to display National Mark produce and to assist the Ministry in maintaining the quality standards.
