HC Deb 16 November 1936 vol 317 cc1322-3
37. Mr. JOEL

asked the Minister of Health whether, in the proposed legislation in connection with the extension of voluntary insurance to black-coated workers, it is proposed to limit such insurance to pensions or to include also insurance for health purposes; and whether the new system of pensions will need a separate fund from the one now in existence?

Mr. HUDSON

As regards the first part of the question, I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given on 19th March last to a similar question by the hon. Member for Kingswinford (Mr. A. Henderson) of which I am sending him a copy. As regards the second part, I am afraid I must ask my hon. Friend to await the introduction of the Bill.

Mr. RHYS DAVIES

Will the machinery of the approved societies be employed in connection with including these people?

Mr. HUDSON

I think the hon. Gentleman had better wait and see the Bill.
