63. Mr. HALL-CAINE asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury what will be the approximate reduction in the annual contributions made by Great Britain to the League of Nations in view of the depreciation of the Swiss franc?

As a result of the devaluation of the Swiss franc, the contribution made by Great Britain to the League of Nations will be reduced in terms of gold francs for the year 1937 by approximately 20 per cent.
