HC Deb 05 November 1936 vol 317 c235
46. Mr. GALLACHER

asked the Prime Minister whether he will allot a day of Parliamentary time to discuss the refusal of the Secretary of State for the Home Department to ban the recent attempted march of the British Union of Fascists in the East End of London which ultimately had to be prohibited by the Commissioner of Police after the assembly of the blackshirts in the area had already led to disturbances; and whether, in view of the fact that this organisation is of a semi-military character, the Government will order its immediate disbanding?

The PRIME MINISTER

No, Sir.
