HC Deb 20 May 1936 vol 312 cc1201-2
78. Mr. DAVID ADAMS

asked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware of the discontent existing among trainees from county Durham and elsewhere employed at the works of Messrs. Briggs Motor Bodies, Dagenham, by reason of the excessive hours worked both weekdays and Sundays and whether he will have the same inquired into and the grievances removed?

Lieut.-Colonel MUIRHEAD

I am not aware of the circumstances which the hon. Member mentions. With regard to the latter part of the question, I would refer him to the answer given yesterday to the hon. Member for South Tottenham (Mr. Messer).

Mr. ADAMS

Will the Minister be good enough to peruse certain information that I have on this subject, as he appears to be badly informed?

Lieut.-Colonel MU IRHEAD

If the hon. Member will bring any specific instance to our notice, we will certainly peruse it.
