HC Deb 20 May 1936 vol 312 cc1193-4
56. Miss LLOYD GEORGE

asked the Minister of Transport whether he has any proposals to make concerning the Menai Bridge?

Mr. HORE-BELISHA

Yes, Sir. have instructed Sir Alexander Gibb and Partners, consulting engineers, to examine and report upon the condition of the bridge and the methods which can best be adopted for rendering it adequate for the needs of traffic. Upon receipt of the engineers' report, I will consult with the Anglesey and Caernarvon County Councils as to the future of the bridge.

Mr. LEACH

Will the Minister be as generous in the case of Waterloo Bridge as he is here?
