HC Deb 19 May 1936 vol 312 c988
29. Mr. DAVIDSON

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland the number of uniformed policemen and the number of plain-clothes officers attached to the Maryhill Division of Glasgow?

Lieut.-Colonel COLVILLE

I am informed that the total number of police officers attached to the division referred to is 213. Of this number 23 do duty in plain clothes.

Mr. DAVIDSON

Can the hon. and gallant Gentleman say how this percentage of plain-clothes officers in Maryhill compares with other districts in Glasgow?

Lieut.-Colonel COLVILLE

Not without notice.

Mr. DAVIDSON

May I have an assurance that it will be looked into?

Lieut.-Colonel COLVILLE

If the hon. Gentleman would like information on that point, I would suggest that he should put down another question.
