HC Deb 18 May 1936 vol 312 c827
48. Lieut. - Commander FLETCHER

asked the Prime Minister if, in view of the dissatisfaction expressed in many quarters of the House at the inadequacy of the information afforded by the representatives of the Admiralty in the course of Naval Debates, he will make arrangements whereby the First Lord of the Admiralty shall be a Member of this House?

The PRIME MINISTER

I am quite unaware that the dissatisfaction alleged by the hon. and gallant Member exists, and I think the reflection contained in his question will be generally repudiated by the House.

Lieut.-Commander FLETCHER

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that I have prepared a most careful analysis from the March and April Naval Debates which shows upwards of 40 questions completely unanswered, and a considerable number more only partially answered?
