asked the Home Secretary the number of cases in which magistrates have ordered the corporal punishment of children for each year between 1930 and 1935, inclusive?

The answer involves a number of figures and, with my hon. Friend's permission, I will circulate the table in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

I do not think there is a general increase. The numbers fluctuate a little. If may hon. Friend will study the table, I think he will get the information.
