HC Deb 06 May 1936 vol 311 c1707
Mr. ATTLEE (by Private Notice)

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he can now make any statement as to the composition of the Tribunal of Inquiry to be set up under the Resolution of both Houses of Parliament yesterday?

The CHANCELLOR of the EXCHEQUER (Mr. Chamberlain)

Yes, Sir. The President of the Tribunal will be Mr. Justice Porter, one of the Judges of the King's Bench Division of the High Court of Justice. His colleagues will be Mr. Gavin Simmonds, K.C., and Mr. Roland Oliver, K.C. I understand that the learned Judge proposes that the Tribunal should sit at the Royal Courts of Justice in the Strand and that he hopes to open the Inquiry next Monday.
