§ Viscount CRANBORNEThe preliminary conversations with a view to negotiations for an Anglo-Egyptian settlement were formally opened in Cairo on 2nd March They were resumed 13 on 9th March, when the British Delegation put forward proposals which are now being studied by the Egyptian Delegation. The next meeting is due to take place to-day.
