asked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the reopening of marble quarries in the Isle of Skye, he will encourage this home production in preference to Italian imports after, as well as during, economic sanctions where Skye marble is suitable?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

I am pleased to hear that the Skye marble quarries have been reopened and I have no doubt that interested industries will give every consideration to this source of material.
