HC Deb 09 March 1936 vol 309 c1805
80. Mr. KENNEDY

asked the Minister of Transport whether, and to what extent, and over what periods, the Wemyss Coal Company, Fifeshire, has benefited by rebates granted by the Berating commission to competitive railways; and whether any condition is attached to such rebates relating to the financial and industrial management of the railways receiving the rebate?

Captain HUDSON

I have no information as to the sums allowed as rebates to individual firms and I would point out that the rebates are allowed, and not received, by the railway companies.
