HC Deb 09 March 1936 vol 309 cc1790-1
40. Mr. F. ANDERSON

asked the Postmaster-General how many telephone kiosks are provided at London Road Station, Manchester; and whether he can arrange for telephone kiosks to be provided on each of the main line platforms of the London and North Eastern and London Midland and Scottish Railway Companies, respectively?

Major TRYON

Five telephone kiosks are provided at the London Road Station, Manchester. I will have inquiry made into the question of providing additional kiosks at that station and write to the hon. Member.

Mr. ANDERSON

Is it not the case that on many occasions queues form outside these boxes during train arrivals and departures and that there is much delay I Will the right hon. and gallant Gentleman look into the matter?

Major TRYON

I will certainly look into it.
