HC Deb 31 July 1936 vol 315 cc1863-4
19. Mr. DAY

asked the Prime Minister whether he will give particulars of the changes which are being considered in the Secret Service system of Great Britain; and whether any decision on the matter has been reached?

Sir J. SIMON

As the hon. Member will appreciate, the essence of a Secret Service is that it is secret, and he will therefore not expect me to make any observations on the subject.

Mr. DAY

Will the right hon. Gentleman say whether reports that have appeared to the effect that the Service is intended to be strengthened are unfounded?

Mr. GUY

May I ask you, Sir, whether any special award is to be given to the hon. Member who has asked the largest number of Questions in the Session?

Mr. SPEAKER

Not from me.
