§ 41. Mr. WHITEasked the Home Secretary whether his attention has been drawn to the prevalence of dermatitis among french polishers; and what action his Department has taken in the matter?
§ Mr. LLOYDFrench polishing has been known for many years to be one of the occupations specially liable to give rise to dermatitis. The most practical and effective remedy appears to lie in increased care of the skin and a close watch for signs of the commencement of the disease; and leaflets on the subject have been issued by the Factory Department from time to time. Special inquiries are now in progress, and the position will be carefully reveiewed in the light of the result.
