HC Deb 14 July 1936 vol 314 c1874
55. Mr. WOODS

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he is aware that there are women now being retired from the Civil Service on age grounds who have had service in a, clerical capacity for upwards of 20 years and yet are not being paid any pensions; and whether he will arrange to exercise, in regard to such cases, the discretionary power conferred upon the Treasury by the Superannuation Act, 1887?

Mr. W. S. MORRISON

I would refer the hon. Member to my reply on 28th May to my hon. Friend the Member for Thirsk and Malton (Mr. Turton).
