§ Sir P. SASSOONI understand that Rootes Properties, Limited, has no dependent companies. If, however, the hon. Member has in mind Rootes Securities, Limited, which is the firm to which I referred in my reply to him of 17th June last, the answer is that they control eight motor manufacturing firms and nine firms engaged in distributing or allied activities.
§ Mr. HARDIECan the right hon. Gentleman say whether any of the shareholders of Rootes Properties hold shares in Bank Nominees, Limited?

§ Mr. HARDIESince the Minister of Defence last spoke on the subject, has he given any orders for materials or anything else to the companies controlled by this firm?
§ Sir P. SASSOONThis firm in question controls a great many important motor manufacturing firms, the experience of which is desired to reinforce the aircraft industry.
