HC Deb 26 February 1936 vol 309 c444
44. Mr. SHORT

asked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware that the design of the modern motor-car has a tendency to limit the range of vision of the driver, thereby contributing to road accidents; and will he consult the motor manufacturers relative to this matter, with a view to preventing this cause of accidents?

Mr. HORE-BELISHA

I am aware of this tendency, and I am in consultation with the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders on the matter.
