HC Deb 16 December 1936 vol 318 cc2459-60
52. Mr. KENNEDY

asked the Secretary of State for War whether any decision has been reached regarding improvement in the conditions of employment and rates of pay of clerks employed in the Territorial Army Infantry Brigade headquarter offices and when any proposed change in the conditions will take effect?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the WAR OFFICE (Sir Victor Warrender)

Territorial Army Associations or Brigade Commanders are responsible for the actual conditions of employment and rates of pay of clerks employed in the Territorial Army Infantry Brigade headquarter offices, for the maintenance of which a grant is drawn from Army Funds which covers the cost of providing clerical assistance. My right hon. Friend is considering whether the amount of the grant calls for revision.
