asked the Minister of Health whether he has information as to the condition of the cows in the Soviet Union, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania from which countries butter is exported to Great Britain; and is he satisfied as to the cleanliness of the methods employed in making such butter?

No, Sir, but my right hon. Friend is advised that prac- tically all milk and cream used in the preparation of imported butter is pasteurised.
