asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has yet received the report from the Governor of Ceylon with regard to the recent election disturbances?

Mr. J. H. THOMAS

No, Sir. I have not yet received the report.

Sir A. POWNALL

As it is close upon two months since this election took place, will the right hon. Gentleman ask the Governor when this report will be received?

Mr. THOMAS

I have already communicated with him.

Sir A. POWNALL

May we have the reply when it has been received?

Mr. THOMAS

I am expecting it at a very early date, and I will communicate with my hon. and gallant Friend.
