§ 66. Commander LOCKER-LAMPSONasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that doctors with large panel practices are overburdened with the clerical work involved in registering their patients and filling forms, etc.; and whether, as this non-medical work adversely affects the capacity of doctors to cure, as well as injuring their health, he will take steps to make a small grant to doctors with large panel practices in order to enable them to afford clerical assistance?
§ Mr. SHAKESPEAREMy right hon. Friend is not aware that insurance doctors are overburdened with the clerical work to which my hon. and gallant Friend refers. Account was taken of this necessary part of their work when their capitation fee was fixed.
