§ Dr. BURGINDuring the year 1934, the average output per manshift worked at the coal face in Yorkshire was 67.62 cwt. Similar information for a prewar period is not available but in June, 1914, the average output per manshift worked by all persons employed below-ground was 31.24 cwt. while the corresponding figure for the year 1934 was 33.73 cwt.
§ Mr. PIKECan the Parliamentary Secretary say to what extent South Yorkshire is carrying West Yorkshire on its back in this matter?
