HC Deb 21 May 1935 vol 302 c182
Sir ROBERT HAMILTON (for Mr. GRAHAM WHITE)

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has received a report from the Governor of Nyasaland with regard to the administration of the hut tax?

The SECRETARY of STATE for the COLONIES (Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister)

Not yet, Sir. Some local investigation may doubtless be necessary before the Governor is in a position to submit a full report. I will communicate with the hon. Member as soon as the report arrives.
