Resolved, That, for the purpose of any Act of the present Session to make provision as to the disposition of certain regimental charitable funds, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament—

  1. (1) of such part (if any) of the sums required for paying the amounts standing to the credit of the regimental charitable funds mentioned in the said Act to the holding trustee therein referred to, as is not provided out of the proceeds of the sale of investments held by the National Debt Commissioners on account of the fund for the military savings banks; and
  2. (2) of such fee to the said holding trustee in respect of the acceptance of the payment made to him as aforesaid on account of any of the said regimental charitable funds as the Secretary of State, with the approval of the Treasury, may determine."—(King's Recommendation signified.)—[Mr. Hacking.]
