HC Deb 07 March 1935 vol 298 c2107
12. Sir CHARLES CAYZER

asked the Home Secretary whether he can now state the intentions of the Government with regard to the recommendations of the Select Committee on Police Forces (Amalgamations), in view of the adverse effect of the present condition of doubt upon the contentment of the forces as a whole?

Sir J. GILMOUR

I regret that it has not yet been found possible to introduce legislation on this subject.
