§ Mr. SHAKESPEAREThe population of the twonship of Darton, which forms part of the urban district of Darton, was 7,346 according to the census of 1931. Later figures of population are not available. According to the valuation lists in force on 1st April, 1930, the rateable value of the township was £16,926. The corresponding amount in 1934 was £18,331.
