§ Mr. HORE-BELISHASchemes for pedestrian crossings have been submitted by certain of the authorities mentioned and have been approved. I am this week notifying county boroughs in England and Wales and large burghs in Scotland of my intention to offer grants from the Road Fund on certain conditions towards the provision of crossings, and I have no doubt that as a result thereof the authorities will expedite progress
