§ The SECRETARY of STATE for INDIA (Sir Samuel Hoare)The amount paid in India from Central and Provincial Revenues in respect of Civil and Military Pensions during 1933-34, the last year for which complete accounts are available, was Rs.960 lakhs. I regret that I have no information as to the proportion of this sum representing payments to Indians, or as to the numbers of pensioners.
