HC Deb 30 July 1935 vol 304 cc2506-7

Lords Amendment: In page 5, line 26, after "copies," insert: of the Instrument and of His Majesty's Acceptance.

Mr. BUTLER

I beg to move, "That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said Amendment."

The object of this Amendment is to ensure that His Majesty's Acceptance is an integral part of the Instrument of Accession. The Amendment raises only a very small point, in that it insists that the Acceptance shall be attached to the Instrument and that it be laid before Parliament.

Mr. SPEAKER

In cases like this and similar cases where there are consequential Amendments I shall put the Amendments together.

Subsequent Lords Amendment, in page 5, line 28, agreed to.
