HC Deb 24 July 1935 vol 304 c1826
32. Lieut.-Colonel MOORE

asked the Secretary of State for Air the approximate value of material and supplies for the Royal Air Farce purchased in Scotland during each of the past three years?

Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTER

I regret that it is impracticable, without disproportionate labour, to give the desired information.

Lieut.-Colonel MOORE

In view of the distress existing on the west coast of Scotland, could not something be done to increase existing purchases for the Royal Air Force?

Mr. MAGNAY

Will the Minister consider the fact, which is obvious from his reply to me previously, that Glasgow is not, strategically, the right place for that sort of thing?
