Brigadier-General NATIONasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether, in view of the expressed desire of certain foreign countries to expand, he will consider taking special steps to increase the population and develop the resources of British colonies and mandated territories by British people?
Mr. MacDONALDThe development of the resources of British colonies and mandated territories is an object to which constant attention is paid by the Government at home as well as the Governments on the spot. If my hon. and gallant Friend desires to suggest any particular special steps which might be taken, I shall be glad to consider them.
