HC Deb 23 July 1935 vol 304 c1652
32. Sir CYRIL COBB

asked the First Commissioner of Works whether he will now enter into negotiations with the organisations who are allowed to erect booths, platforms and other obstructions on the turf on the west side of Queen Mary's Garden, Regent's Park, with a view to relieving himself from these existing engagements, so that for the future the garden and lawns may be used exclusively, free from noise and litter, as a quiet retreat for the general public?

The FIRST COMMISSIONER of WORKS (Mr. Ormsby-Gore)

I would refer my hon. Friend to my reply to a similar question by the hon. Member for Aberdeen, North (Mr. Burnett) on 18th July.
