HC Deb 18 July 1935 vol 304 c1194
7. Mr. JOHN WILMOT

asked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware of the dissatisfaction which exists among working people in the borough of Fulham owing to the fact that in filling vacancies occurring within the borough the Fulham employment exchanges appear to give preference to workers from other districts to those of equal skill and experience residing within the borough; and if he will take steps to remedy the matter?

Mr. E. BROWN

I am not aware that there is ground for the dissatisfaction referred to, which does not appear to be supported by the information which I have obtained, but, if the hon. Member will be good enough to let me have particulars of the cases he has in mind, I will have inquiry made.
