HC Deb 17 July 1935 vol 304 c1042
40. Sir C. RAWSON

asked the Minister of Pensions whether his attention has been drawn to the case of Mr. F. Smith, of 14, Dew Road, Brighton; and whether, as the medical examination by the Ministry alleges that the condition requiring treatment is so slight as not to necessitate any special treatment, although the man's own panel doctor describes him as being unable to follow his occupation, he will exercise his discretion in this case?

The MINISTER of PENSIONS (Mr. R. S. Hudson)

Delay occurred in dealing with this case in the first instance owing to confusion caused by an incomplete address on the mart's original application. The allowances which would otherwise have been paid during treatment have now I am glad to say been authorised.
