§ 70. Sir JOHN POWERasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, in order to increase the facilities of hon. Members in the matter of access to original sources of information on international affairs, both political and economic, he will consider the possibility of making arrangements to place in the Vote Office supplies of copies of the more important documents issued by the League of Nations as and when they are published?
§ Mr. EDENThe minutes of the meetings of the Council and the Assembly, the documents printed in the League of Nations Official Journal, the Monthly Summary of the League of Nations, and the League Bulletin of Statistics are automatically made available in the Library for consultation by Members, and my right hon. Friend is prepared, whenever asked to do so, to endeavour to obtain for hon. Members copies of particular documents in which they are interested. In these circumstances I think hon. Members will agree that the automatic supply of League of Nations documents in the Vote Office would, on financial grounds, hardly be justified.
