HC Deb 11 July 1935 vol 304 cc495-6
73. Mr. RHYS DAVIES (for Mr. MORGAN JONES)

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether a report has been published of the recent session of the economic and financial sub-committee of the League of Nations Council, on the financial and economic measures which could be taken against a state which endangered peace by the unilateral repudiation of its international obligations; and what further action it is intended to take on this matter?

Mr. EDEN

The body referred to by the hon. Member is a sub-Committee of the Committee of Thirteen, not a sub-Committee of the Council of the League. The sub-Committee is still in session. As regards the second part of the question, I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to the hon. Member for East Fulham (Mr. Wilmot) on 8th July.
