Mr. McKEAGasked the Minister of Transport the actual number of Regulations of all kinds which have been issued by the Ministry of Transport since 1st July, 1930, giving separately the actual number (stated consecutively) of Regulations issued under the Road Traffic Act, 1930, the Road and Rail Traffic Act, 1933, and the Road Traffic Act, 1934?

HUDSONDuring the five years since July, 1930, 2,907 sealed Regulations and Orders have been issued by my Department under the various Acts 136 relating to railways, roads and other forms of transport, and to electricity. Of the total 100 have been made under the Road Traffic Act, 1930, 13 under the Road and Rail Traffic Act, 1933, and 22 under the Road Traffic Act, 1934.
§ Captain HUDSONThis Department deals with a variety of subjects which are constantly changing, and therefore the Regulations have to be changed to meet the circumstances.
