HC Deb 04 July 1935 vol 303 cc1984-5
11. Mr. SMEDLEY CROOKE

asked the Minister of Labour whether he will consider the advisability of using the accumulated surplus of the Unemployment Insurance Fund in granting bonuses to all insured men and women on reaching the age of 65, providing they have drawn nothing from the fund during their period of insurance?

Mr. E. BROWN

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply which I gave on the 2nd July to the hon. Member for Plaistow (Mr. Thorne), of which I am sending him a copy.
