HC Deb 01 July 1935 vol 303 c1513
25. Mr. LUNN

asked the Minister of Health whether he will give the reason for the delay in not setting down for appeal to the High Court the case of Mrs. K. Slaughter, of 112, Brentwood Road, Romford, Essex, against the decision of the referee appointed under Section 90 of the National Health Insurance Act, 1924?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of HEALTH (Mr. Shakespeare)

The referee appointed under Section 90 of the National Health Insurance Act, 1924, acceded to the request of Mrs. Slaughter to state a case for the decision of the High Court on a question of law. There has been some unavoidable delay but my right hon. Friend is informed that the terms of the case have now been settled and signed by the referee and forwarded to Mrs. Slaughter's solicitors, who are, therefore, now in a position to set down the case for hearing.
