§ 1. Sir FRANK SANDERSONasked the Minister of Labour the number of juveniles who have left school since December last who to-day rank as insured workers?
§ The MINISTER of LABOUR (Mr. Oliver Stanley)The total number of juveniles under 16 years of age, who entered insurance during January, 1935, was 68,431, but I cannot say how many of these left school in the previous December.
§ Sir F. SANDERSONWill my right hon. Friend consider whether the school-leaving age might be increased as a temporary measure, say, during the next three or four years, which would assist materially to relieve unemployment?
§ Mr. STANLEYThe hon. Member had better put that question on the Order Paper.
