Mr. RHYS DAVIESasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has considered the communication from the Secretary-General of the League, asking what action His Majesty's Government recommends on the report of the Nansen international office for refugees; and whether His Majesty's Government will follow the recommendation of the Assembly of the League that Governments should put at the disposal of that office credits which would enable it to settle refugees in countries which were willing to receive them?
§ Sir J. SIMONI am aware of the terms of the resolution passed by the 15th Assembly of the League of Nations in regard to the report of the Nansen international office for refugees for the year ending the 30th June, 1934, but His Majesty's Government have not yet received a communication from the Secretary-General of the League of Nations of the nature referred to by the hon. Member. As soon as such a communication is received, the terms of His Majesty's Government's reply will be most carefully considered.

§ Sir J. SIMONI am sure that His Majesty's Government, in common with the other Governments at Geneva, will desire to take their part.
