asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs who is the acting president of the Disarmament Conference at the present time; and what steps it is proposed to take to fill the vacancy created by the death of Mr. Arthur Henderson?

The PRIME MINISTER

No vice-president of the Disarmament Conference was appointed. The nomination of a successor to the late Mr. Arthur Henderson is a matter for consideration by the Council of the League of Nations, by which Mr. Henderson was appointed.
