§ The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Mr. W. S. Morrison)The value of the goods liable to duty ad valorem and admitted duty-free, or on drawback of the duty, into registered shipbuilding yards in the United Kingdom from 1st March, 1932, to 30th September, 1935, was approximately £980,000. The values of goods liable to specific duties are not recorded. A great variety of goods is concerned and information as to the quantity of each description is not available. I am unable to supply my hon. Friend with particulars for shipyards on the North-East Coast, as these are not separately recorded.
