HC Deb 10 December 1935 vol 307 cc745-6
Mr. ATTLEE

May I ask the Prime Minister what business will be taken on Thursday?

The PRIME MINISTER

Thursday's business has been somewhat rearranged. The first Order will be a Motion for an Address to His Majesty for the erection of a monument to the memory of the late Admiral of the Fleet Earl Jellicoe. On this will follow the Second Reading of the Public Works Loans Bill and the Committee stage of the necessary Money Resolution; Committee and remaining stages of the Expiring Laws Continuance Bill; Committee stage of the Unemployment Assistance (Temporary Provisions) (Extension) Money Resolution, and consideration of outstanding Import Duties Orders.

Mr. MAXTON

Does that mean that the Eleven o'Clock Rule will be suspended on Thursday?

The PRIME MINISTER

I hope that we may not have to do that so early in the Session.

Mr. BUCHANAN

Is it to be taken that there have been conversations as to agreement or otherwise on these Bills passing unopposed?

The PRIME MINISTER

I do not think that there is a great deal in them to arouse controversy.
