asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is in a position to make a statement regarding the introduction of machinery to ensure a minimum wage for agricultural workers in Scotland?

Sir G. COLLINS

I have undertaken to set up a small committee to examine the whole subject of the conditions of employment and remuneration of farm workers in Scotland. This committee will be constituted shortly.

Mr. MATHERS

When is it intended that the committee should report?

Sir G. COLLINS

The appointment of the committee has not yet been made.
