HC Deb 09 December 1935 vol 307 cc535-6
11. Captain CAZALET

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he can give the House any further information with regard to the situation in Memel and as to the constitution of the directorate?

The MINISTER for LEAGUE of NATIONS AFFAIRS (Mr. Anthony Eden)

I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the statement which I made on this subject in the course of the Debate on Thursday last, to which I have at present nothing to add.

Captain CAZALET

Is the right hon. Gentleman now satisfied that the Lithuanian Government is prepared to fulfil the conditions of the Statute of Memel both in the letter and the spirit?

Mr. EDEN

I prefer to keep within the terms of what I said the other day.
